It is fairly annoying to dodge, and if you get behind cover to try and snipe him, he will walk towards you and be difficult to hit. He also has a bow and arrow that he uses that will burst into flames and stun you.When he does this, just run and dodge away from him. Two melee attacks, both of which cause fire to burst from his sword.Unfortunately you can't stealth kill them as Amaru will always be on your tail. They are quite annoying and will be a threat to you. Always focus on the soldiers before killing Amaru.Just keep dodging once he does this and you should be fine. He'll start spamming them in the 5th phase, so watch out for that. Amaru can do teleport attacks once he reaches the 4th phase.Once you've finished up doing your last few upgrades and skill distributions, keep going down the path and you'll eventually reach Amaru, who will unlock the power of Kukulkan. BE SURE TO SIT HERE, AS THIS WILL BE WHERE THE GAME RESETS YOU IF YOU DECIDE TO CONTINUE PLAYING IN THE STORY AFTER DEFEATING AMARU.
Head up the path on the right and follow it to reach a new base camp, City of the Serpent. Once you kill the last of the soldiers, Commander Rourke, who is firing the tank, will get killed by the Crimson Fire. Just focus on the soldiers, the tank won't really shoot you. Then to the right, there will be a tank that comes through the temple ruins and a bunch of soldiers as well. The soldier on the balcony can be easily dealt with by shooting the explosive barrel, and the other soldier can be killed by just shooting him through the cover. There's also an explosive barrel you can shoot, so look out for that.Ĭontinue in the next area and there will be more soldiers and you'll have more cover to shoot them from.
A few will jump down from the balcony up ahead, then another will come from the corridor and try and hide behind the cover on the other side, but you can actually just shoot it with your guns and it will fall apart. First off, utilize the cover in this first area to kill the soldiers easily. When you regain control of Lara, you'll have to kill a bunch of Trinity soldiers in order to get to Amaru.
